Now Playing Tracks

Hello lovelies! I’m going to be taking a break from tumblr for a while. I’m taking a may term course online that requires 6-7 hours of homework a day plus class time. So, I won’t be posting, reblogging, etc… for a few weeks or so until I have time for myself again. I miss tumblr so much already. :(

I still want to talk with people and such so text me or facebook message me or tweet at me or email me or any of those forms of communication that work.

I hope to be back soon.

But just in case you want to get away with it, here are some tips.

Today has been long and fairly unproductive. I have about 2/8 pages done of a paper that’s due Tuesday. I still have to study for my Italian final tomorrow. I still need to edit 2 papers that are due tomorrow. I still have to edit creative writing stuff for Wednesday. I still need to pack. I have to rearrange all my furniture so I can check out. I have to eat. I have to sleep. I have to attempt to take care of myself.

The last 3 things are not going to get done unfortunately…

Have you hugged your hyena today?

This is cute and all, but OHGOD I had no idea hyenas were this big. I’d always thought of them as somewhere on the small-to-medium dog scale, like a springer spaniel or something. UM NO.

So this dude is Kevin Richardson, known as “the Lion Whisperer.” Apparently he just goes out and gets himself accepted into groups of wild animals, for the purpose of making documentaries, commercials, etc. AS ONE DOES.

we hyena now

He’s also does this to move herds and packs of animals into reserves or out of development areas.
Good man.

And that’s the most frustrating thing about depression. It isn’t always something you can fight back against with hope. It isn’t even something — it’s nothing. And you can’t combat nothing. You can’t fill it up. You can’t cover it. It’s just there, pulling the meaning out of everything. That being the case, all the hopeful, proactive solutions start to sound completely insane in contrast to the scope of the problem.

It would be like having a bunch of dead fish, but no one around you will acknowledge that the fish are dead. Instead, they offer to help you look for the fish or try to help you figure out why they disappeared.
